This new malware, called Fatboy Panel.It has spread to about 25 million smartphones through WhatsApp. This information was given by cybersecurity company Jim Perium.

The company said that some unscrupulous individuals send a link on WhatsApp under a fake identity. Later, this  Fatboy Panel malware is automatically inserted and collects OTPs and makes financial transactions without the knowledge of the users. According to Jim Perium, the malware hides its icon as soon as it is installed. And also it is capable enough to disable the Google Play Protect service by it’s own so that the users cannot be suspicious of anything and malware will stay active in the device.

Moreover, this malware is connected to a central control structure. From where are the coordinated activities of multiple malware are carried out?
